MESA, AZ — The first big store at Medina Station is open, and the rest of the center is right behind it. Target's new Mesa Signal Butte store now runs seven days a week just off the US 60, and the 64-acre development around it has signed Dick's Sporting Goods, Boot Barn and a lineup of restaurants that will all need crews. For far east Mesa, that means retail and restaurant work close to home.

Target is open and was reported to need more than 190 workers once fully staffed. The other Medina Station tenants have not announced opening dates or headcounts yet, so now is the time to get your applications ready.

What Opened at Signal Butte and Why It Matters for East Mesa Jobs

For years, shoppers in 85209 and 85212 drove to Power Road for a big-box run. SimonCRE's project covers about 64.5 acres at Signal Butte and the US 60, with roughly 300,000 square feet of retail planned at full buildout and more than 600 apartments going up behind the shops.

Target was the first retailer to open. Commercial real estate outlets reported in June that it is the company's sixth Mesa store and its 51st in Arizona, and that the store would employ more than 190 people once fully staffed. The store's own page lists it as open, with a CVS Pharmacy counter, a Starbucks Cafe and Target Optical inside. Each runs on its own staff, so one opening spreads jobs across many titles.

Big-box retail: Target, plus a two-story Dick's Sporting Goods and a Boot Barn. Expect sales floor, stocking, cashier, and early-morning receiving shifts.
Restaurants and treats: OHSO Brewery, Cafe Zupas, Mission BBQ, CAVA, Five Guys, Hawaiian Bros, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers, Handel's and As You Wish. Kitchen, counter, server and shift lead roles.
Health and services: Pacific Dental Services, GoodVets, My Dr Now, America's Best and U.S. Bank. Think dental assistants, vet techs, medical front desk, optical sales and tellers.
Personal care and home: Zara Nail Bar, V's Barbershop and Brooklyn Bedding, for licensed stylists, nail techs and sales staff.

Only Target has a confirmed opening. The developer's site says the center is "opening now," but no other tenant has posted an opening date or a headcount, and we won't guess.
